J Bistro Downtown is a contemporary restaurant located in the beautiful Manhattan on Market building. The décor is sophisticated and warmly elegant. The vibe is just plain fun with delicious food to match.

We source local when we can and we feature sustainable produce from the iconic Chef’s Garden, in Huron Ohio. Our menu is simple with great artisanal cheese, a variety of fresh pasta dishes, seafood, crisp flatbread pizzas and man-sized steaks and chops. We buy in small amounts to insure the freshest possible ingredients. The menu is contemporary American food with a twist. Start you meal with a signature cocktail and finish with a fair-trade organic coffee or a pot of Sub Rosa Organic tea.

Executive Chef Jesse Harris offers an eclectic menu with lots of luscious ever-changing features.

Our signature Chilean Sea bass with fresh ginger mashed potatoes, crisply sautéed baby bok choi with a wild mushroom sauce is just too good to miss.

Our wine list offers a plenty of wines by the glass and great wines from around the country and the globe.

Looking for a place to bring friends or clients for a great private dining experience? Look no further, our Chef’s Table for Ten is the perfect choice. You can order from the menu or Chef will create a menu just for you.

We feature live music Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays all summer.  The J is available for private lunches & events for 16-50, Rehearsal dinners, and just about anything you want to celebrate Manhattan-style.
